CCA KINDERGARTEN
WELCOME TO KINDERGARTEN!![]()
Kindergarten is a year of growing socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually. Your involvement, interest, and enthusiasm will help make this a wonderful year of growth for you and your child.
Dear Parents,
Welcome to Kindergarten! This summer has seemed to fly by and I am so excited about beginning this school year with your child. My name is Mrs. Trina Johnson and I have taught Pre-K for the past 17 years. Last year I taught 1st& 2nd grade and was honored with the Ministry Member Award for Excellence in Educating Authentic Christian Leaders. However, this is my first year teaching Kindergarten. I’m eager to get to know your child and make this a fun, productive school year!
You are my best resource in providing a meaningful Christian Education for your child. I look forward to working closely with you this school year. You may contact me in several different ways; feel free to call the school (252-551-1055) or email me at ccak5@greenvillecommunitychristian.com.These messages will be received daily. I will be glad to schedule a conference with you to discuss your child’s progress.
During this school year, we will be communicating every day through our homework folder. Please initial their work when your child has completed these assignments. This ensures that you have seen the assignments given, and lets me know that you have helped your child complete them. This will also serve as a communication folder, as I will be writing occasional notes and sending home graded papers in this folder for you.
I am a firm believer in rewarding good behavior and strive to create a positive learning environment. During the next 180 school days, your child will be part of our team. On the first day of school, we will create a list of rules students are to follow for the school year. Students will also have the opportunity of earning marbles together and getting rewarded.
We share in your concern for your child spiritual, academic, and social development. Remember, you’re free to email me, or call the school office, if you have any questions or concerns about your child’s progress. I am very excited about having this opportunity to work with you and your children.
Thank you for sharing your child with me this year!
